Terms and Conditions

Hello, I am Martin Vass: Director - Owner.

Everyone is welcome to book on to any of my courses.
Everyone will be treated with Dignity and Respect at all times, whether you are here at my centre or I am teaching at your place.
If you or anyone that you are booking on to one of my courses has any concerns that you would like to talk to me about in Strict confidence before booking or attending please email me martin@ashfordfirstaidtraining.com or call me: 07522 361694.

These are my full terms & conditions and should be read carefully and completely before emailing your "Booking" to me, as emailing your "Booking" to me means that you accept them all.

How to Book:

I only accept bookings by email, you must provide all of the following information:

The name of the course your booking.
The date of the course.
The name of the person booking it.
Full address details for the invoice.
How many spaces are required.
A contact number.

I will then reply by email accepting your "Booking", I will attach:

Your invoice(s), my bank details are on it for making payment.
I will also attach the "Course Joining Instruction".

When you have received a "Booking Confirmation Email back from Ashford First Aid Training Ltd" the booking is complete.

The invoice for the full amount will be attached and has to be paid in full upon receiving it without exception, as those spaces are no longer available to others.

My bank details are on your invoice, payment via bank transfer is my prefer method of receiving payment.

If once the booking has been confirmed there is a need to Transfer anyone/ all those attending on to a future course, this must be done by Email Only, letting me know immediately.

If an Organisation or Individual books places for attendees on any of my courses they may Transfer one or more attendees from that course to another course, without incurring a charge, provided that Ashford First Training Ltd receives this request to transfer at least 14 days before the initially booked and confirmed course start date.

If an Organisation or Individual requests the Transfer of attendees from one course to another course with fewer than 14 days before the start of the initially confirmed course the Organisation or Individual must still pay for the original course in full and in addition a fee of 50% of course again, instead of the full amount again.

I reserve to right to charge a late payment fee of £30 if I have to chase you for your payment.

I appreciate and apologise that you may feel I am being harsh, however when you booked the space(s) they were set aside for you, if I don't have a fair chance to re-sell those spaces this will have a financial impact on my business.

Certificates will never be released if course fees have not been paid in full.

I will legally pursue all debts, interest and fees will be added, the exact amount will be detailed at the time within my "Failure to Pay" letter which will be emailed to you.

E-Learning Courses

If the invoice paid those attending will receive an email inviting you to enroll and complete the on-line element of this course, this is sent out 2 weeks before the classroom date.
There is a full welcoming tutorial, with everything clearly explained.
I politely remind that you will need to have completed this in order to be able to attend your "Class Room Sessions".
I am only able to see how you are getting on and when you have completed.
Once you have "Enrolled" there is no option to cancel or be refunded.

If "I" have to Cancel "The Booking":

In the event I have to cancel of a course, I agree to notify you at the very earliest opportunity by either phone/email.

If this was to happen I agree to either fully reimburse in full the course fee or arrange a free transfer on to another mutually agreeable course.

I will not accept or pay for any other costs you may incur.

Force Majeure

Where a course is cancelled due to Force Majeure (circumstances reasonably beyond the control of: Ashford First Aid Training Ltd e.g. war, riots, floods, epidemic, prolonged shortage of energy supply, explosions, strikes, lockouts, acts of state or government control impeding or prohibiting Ashford First Aid Training Ltd from performing its obligations Ashford First Aid Training Ltd will provide you with comparable training at the earliest mutually agreeable date.

No refunds will be issued where courses are cancelled due to Force Majeure and No Transfer Fees will be charged.

Refunds:

Refunds will be processed by the same payment method in which the original payment was made unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed by both parties.

Refunds will be made in GBP (£) for the exact amount that was originally paid.

The Age, Fitness & Nature of Learner:

All Learners must be able to meet the following requirements:

All learners must be physically able to participate in all practical elements of the course which involves things such as kneeling on the floor to demonstrate CPR and put someone in the "Recovery Position
Wear suitable clothing for the course due to each learner having to participate in the practical elements of the course, so clothing such as dresses will not be appropriate.
Have good communication skills (at least Level 2 "Understanding & Speaking in English) and have the necessary disposition needed to become a First Aider.
Delegates need to be 14 years old or above on the first day of the course.
Delegates who are not able to meet the requirements for the whole course will not be able to attend the course and become a First Aider.

Ashford First Aid Training Ltd will not refund Learners who attend any of our course who fail to meet these criteria.

A Learner who fails to meet the assessment criteria will be referred for further training at their own expense.

A Learner who does not fully participate in all elements of the training course will not receive a qualification certificate.

Learners that fail to attend the full teaching hours, fail to participate and do not pass all assessments fully, will be referred.

A referred learner will not be certificated.

To obtain certification all learners will be required to attend further training at their own cost.

It is your responsibility to select suitable persons to train to become first aiders in your workplace.

I reserve the right to refuse course entry or ask a Learner to leave a course if:

They do not arrive by the "Course Start Time".
They leave during the course
They are absent during the course.
They are deemed to be behaving inappropriately.
They refuse to participate in all elements of the training.
They are under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

I have a Learner Agreement Policy that has to be read by every student prior to training, and to make Ashford First Aid Training Ltd aware of any special considerations that may need to take place.

Training Room Suitability

I complete a full written risk assessment of my training centre before any learners arrive for their course, any matters that require improvement we be made before you arrive.

When training at a Client’s venue the Client agrees to provide a clean and safe area with adequate training space and ensure that the following resources available for the training to take place:

Sufficient clear/clean floor space for the number of learners attending.
Access to either an over head projector or a large screen T.V.
Tables & Chairs for Learners and Trainer(s).
Toilets suitable for those attending.

Complaints:

If you wish to make a complaint, please email it to :martin@ashfordfirstaidtraining.com

Please provide:

The name of the person raising the Complaint.
The nature of the complaint
The date, time location of the complaint
Any evidence if possible or statements

I will acknowledge receipt of your email by return email setting out a time scale of how I will proceed at looking it to your complaint and keep you informed.

This is my company, I have worked hard to get it to be the success it is.

Everyone that knows me or have been on any of my courses know I have a complete transparency approach to everything and every one.

Data Protection:

Ashford First Aid Training Ltd will only process personal data to the extent reasonably required to enable it to supply the courses it runs.

All contact details that are supplied to Ashford First Aid Training Ltd will not be passed on to any third party.

How We May Use Your Personal Information:

The Learner can request details of what personal information Ashford First Aid Training Ltd holds about them, request that their data is deleted, and request that their data is not used for certain purposes- as set out by the Data Protection Act 2018.

Ashford First Aid Training Ltd copyright materials may only be used by a learner of a training course for their personal use.
